The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that can be earned by a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador in 9-12th grade. The Girl Guidelines for earning the Gold Award are found in the Handbook section of The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Seniors and Ambassadors, on the Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) under the Resource Tab or girlscoutsoc.org/goldaward.
This training is intended for Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador who are ready to Go Gold.
- Are you a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador (grades 9 – 12)?
- Have you either completed a Silver Award and one Journey at the Senior/Ambassador level or completed two Journeys at the Senior/Ambassador level?

Girl Scout Gold Award training is required for Girl Scout Seniors/Ambassadors, their Troop/Group Advisor and Project Advisor.
What’s the difference between a Troop/Group Advisor and a Project Advisor?
- A Troop/Group Advisor oversees girls through the paperwork and approval process.
- A Project Advisor is the project’s subject matter expert.
