
The Girl Scouts of Orange County believes that all girls should have the opportunity to participate in the Girl Scout experience and not be limited by economic factors. The Board of Directors annually approves Financial Assistance to help girls fund membership, purchase uniforms, attend camp, and participate in troops, events, or activities.
We know families may be financially impacted by current events and wantto make sure all girls can experience Girl Scouts.

Boom & Bucket’s Student Scholarship
Program

Boom
& Bucket offers a scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded each year to
a currently enrolled students or future student student pursuing a
heavy machinery themed program and planning to attend a program within
the next 12 months at a college or a trade school anywhere in the
United States or Canada.
Cirkled in Scholarship
Next Deadline:

The Cirkled in Scholarship is a $2500
scholarship for 8-12th grade students that can apply to any
educational need, such as tuition, books, supplies, or
transportation. It’s an easy scholarship to apply for, with no income
requirements, no minimum GPA and no lengthy essay to write.
Chapman University Institutional Awards

The Corinne Jeannine Shillings Foundation awards Academic
Scholarships and Travel Scholarships to Silver and Gold Award Girl
Scouts who plan to/are currently majoring/minoring in a foreign
language at a four-year college/university or who plan to study
abroad, regardless of their major/minor.
Edison Scholars
Next Deadline: 2024 application will open in the Fall
The Edison Scholars Program recognizes students who want to be
makers of tomorrow — the dreamers, inventors, guardians and pioneers —
those who dare to be great. In 2023 Edison International awarded
$50,000 college scholarships to 30 high school seniors to help them
follow their dreams in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM)
and empower them to change the world. This is a chance for students
with big dreams to advance their education and take part in shaping a
brighter future.
Disney Super
Fan Scholarship
Next Deadline: September 1, 2023
The Bold.org Disney Super Fan Scholarship will support students
who share a strong connection to Disney and want to share their unique
stories. This scholarship will give a deserving recipient $1,000 to
use towards their pursuit of higher education.
Dragon Kim Foundation Fellowship Program
Dragon Kim Fellowship Program awards up to $5,000 community service
grants to support motivated high school students who want to create
and manage a program next summer that will make an impact in the community.
Edwards
Lifesciences Scholarship Program
Next deadline: Opening March 2024
The Edwards
Lifesciences Scholarship Program provides renewable $2,500 awards for
students pursuing a major in science, technology, engineering or math
(STEM majors). Applicants must be United States citizens or legal
residents who are high school seniors and residents of Orange County,
CA; Salt Lake County, UT; or Puerto Rico, and recipients must
demonstrate financial need.

The 2023 GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship
Program provided a $10,000 academic scholarship to one Gold Award Girl
Scout per council who demonstrated extraordinary leadership,

Barron Prize for Young Heroes

The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes, a
program of the nonprofit organization Young Heroes Project, celebrates
inspiring, public-spirited young people from diverse backgrounds all
across North America. Each year, the Barron Prize honors 25
outstanding young leaders ages 8 to 18 who have made a significant
positive difference to people and the environment.
