Highest Award Training is designed to support adult volunteers who are advising girls earning the highest awards and keep projects aligned with Girl Scouts standards.

Girl Scout Bronze Award Training
Bronze Award Pin

Adult Learning (Training) is recommended for Junior Leaders wishing to be a project advisor for girls earning the Girl Scout Bronze Award.

The Girl Scout Bronze Award is the highest award that can be earned by a Girl Scout Junior in the 4-5th grades. Guidelines for earning the Bronze Award are found in the Handbook section of The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Juniors.

The Girl Scout Bronze Award Training gives leadership strategies and applicable tips specific to the Girl Scout Bronze Award. This course has been developed with the help of volunteers, is trained by volunteers, and is intended for volunteers.

By the end of Bronze Award Training, you will be able to:

  • Work with girls who have completed or nearly completed a Junior Journey and are ready to focus on the Bronze Award Take Action project.
  • Understand what it means to Take Action and how to use the Guidelines for Girl Scout Juniors to support girls' efforts to make the world a better place.

Girl Scout Silver Award Training

Adult Learning (Training) is recommended for Cadette Leaders wishing to be a project advisor for girls in earning the Girl Scout Silver Award.

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award that can be earned by a Girl Scout Cadette in the 6-8th grades. Guidelines for earning the Silver Award are found in the Handbook section of The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Cadettes.

Girl Scout Silver Award Training gives leadership strategies and applicable tips specific to the Girl Scout Silver Award. This course has been developed with the help of volunteers, is trained by volunteers, and is intended for volunteers.

By the end of Silver Award Training, you will be able to:

  • Work with girls who have completed or nearly completed a Cadette Journey and are ready to focus on the Silver Award Take Action project.
  • Understand what it means to Take Action and how to use the Guidelines for Girl Scout Cadettes to support girls' efforts to make the world a better place.

Girl Scout Gold Award Training

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that can be earned by a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador in 9-12th grade. The Girl Guidelines for earning the Gold Award are found in the Handbook section of The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Seniors and Ambassadors, on the Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) under the Resource Tab or girlscoutsoc.org/goldaward. 

This training is intended for Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador  who are ready to Go Gold. 

  • Are you a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador (grades 9 – 12)?
  • Have you either completed a Silver Award and one Journey at the Senior/Ambassador level or completed two Journeys at the Senior/Ambassador level?  
If not, you may not be ready to start your Gold Award project.  

Girl Scout Gold Award training is required for Girl Scout Seniors/Ambassadors, their Troop/Group Advisor and Project Advisor.

What’s the difference between a Troop/Group Advisor and a Project Advisor? 

  • A Troop/Group Advisor oversees girls through the paperwork and approval process.
  • A Project Advisor is the project’s subject matter expert.

This training gives leadership strategies and applicable tips specific to the Girl Scout Gold Award. This course has been developed with the help of volunteers, is trained by volunteers, and is intended for girls and volunteers.
