Prepare for the Gold Award while earning the new GSUSA Take Action Award. This series builds your confidence and strengthens your project-planning skills by using badge work* as a springboard for taking action.
It's excellent preparation for the Gold Award proposal, as it follows the same process on a smaller scale-with a special focus on identifying root causes and shaping your plan, a crucial skill for the Gold Award.
What to Expect:
This series goes beyond award requirements, featuring:
Expert Insights: Guidance from a Gold Award expert and inspiring advice from the Workshops4girls Mentoring Team, Gold Award Girl Scouts in high school, college, and beyond.
Project Planning: Create a detailed Take Action project plan and receive implementation tips, including timelines, marketing, and troubleshooting.
Gold Award Focus: The final session explores Gold Award resources, with a highlight being advice from our popular Workshops4girls Mentoring Team members. Hear directly from Scouts who are currently earning their Gold Award or have already achieved it-they'll share their experiences, answer common questions, and offer invaluable tips for both the Gold Award and Take Action projects.
Upon completion, you'll have a comprehensive plan for your Take Action Project, ready to implement independently. You'll also gain the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to tackle a robust Gold Award Take Action Project.

*Note:
The Take Action Award begins with earning a badge of their choice. If the Girl Scout has not completed the badge prior to the session, they will have to complete it before carrying out their Take Action Award Project. Required prework for this session is to choose the badge. (If the badge was not previously earned.)
