Spend at least 20 hours with two amazing books from our specially curated reading list and earn a patch to celebrate your achievement. Let's boost mental wellness, spark creativity, and build community by inviting friends and family to read and share in the adventure together!  

Where do we get the books to read? 

Books listed on the Grow & Glow: Summer Reading Program reading list are available to borrow at your local library, to purchase at your local bookstore, or Amazon, or books are available to borrow for one week only from the self-serve lending library in the lobby of the Girl Scout offices at 9500 Toledo Way, Irvine, CA M-TH 8am-6pm. 

For all Girl Scout levels!  

May 1st to September 1st 

Cost

  • Only $6 per Girl Scout
  • $7 for Girl Scouts registered outside of Orange County Council

Includes: 

  • Patch, mailed to each girl. 
  • Reading Lists by GS Level 
  • Reading Log Color Sheet 
  • Bookmark 
  • Access to GSOC Lending Library! 

**This is not a drop-off event. Girl Scouts access the information online with adult permission and agree to Girl Scout Internet Safety Pledge to teach, encourage and support web safety and respectful "net-iquette" while online. 

 

*This event is open to troops, Juliettes, and those with an active membership awaiting placement in a troop! 

 

A confirmation email with all event details will be sent to those registered at least 7 days before the event. If you have any questions, please email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org

This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girl Scouts must complete online registration and pay deposit (if applicable) or in full. Then fill out the Reimbursement form prior to participating in the event.
