For more than 50 years, Girl Scouts of Orange County’s Camp Scherman has been a cherished sanctuary where girls from across Orange County can explore the outdoors and connect with one another. More than that, though, Camp Scherman is a place for girls to discover their strengths and realize their potential.
Indeed, Camp Scherman offers girls from all backgrounds who are entering grades K-12 a safe space to form lifelong friendships, learn more about themselves, lean into new opportunities, stretch the bounds of achievable goals, and tap into newfound levels of self-esteem. From stargazing and discovering wildlife to rock-wall climbing and canoeing, whichever adventure she chooses, she returns home with a lifetime of memories—and more courage, confidence, and character than ever.
Investing in Camp Scherman and the Girl Scout traditions found in its high-adventure offerings is an investment in lifelong memories and girl leadership. Your support will transform our mountain home to provide exhilarating, life-changing outdoor experiences for years to come.
Our first-phase goal to secure $1 million will enhance the vibrancy, safety, and upkeep of Camp Scherman, and enable Girl Scouts to continue providing exciting outdoor activities and formative experiences that will span current and future generations of Girl Scouts.
