Knots & Lashing ***In Person Training at the Anaheim Program Center***

Adult Training recommended for Troop/Group Volunteers wishing to learn knots and lashing skills.

Optional Items to Bring: 

  • Pocket knife, non-locking blade type

Course Objectives:

  • Tie ALL of the most useful knots used in Girl Scouting including overhand, square knot, bowline, larks head, clove hitch, and sheep shank
  • Participants will learn skills and activities useful in teaching girls how to use knots for lashing building
  • Skills strongly recommended for events like Junior Jam, Cadette-o-Rama or GAM, or for those who simply want to show their girls new skills!

Courtesy: In order to create an effective learning environment for all, our volunteer trainers are unable to accommodate children at this training. Additionally, arriving more than 20 minutes after the start of class may cause you to forfeit credit for this class. Please plan accordingly.
