Yorba Linda day camp provides a safe and supportive environment
where girls make new friends, try new things, and collect life-long
memories. Girls daily participate in badge activities, crafts, sing
songs, play games, participate in theme activities and enjoy the
outdoors. Girls are assigned to camper units by their age and Girl
Scout age level.
Our day camp is fully operated by
volunteers so help from camper adult family and friends is required.
Come join us for a day or the week and enjoy the magic of camp! Camp
activities are led by teen Girl Scouts. Adult roles are to encourage
and supervise camper participation. You do not have to prepare
anything prior to camp. Campers and troops with adult volunteers are
placed first. If we are unable to place a camper due to lack of
volunteers, a refund will be issued.
Optional field trip: Field Trip for girls entering 5th grade and older to Grammy Museum includes tour of museum and hands on music production class. Field Trip will be on Thursday. Bus transportation to and from camp provided in field trip fee, Field Trip cost is $33.
Adult volunteers: All adults at Yorba Linda Day Camp are volunteers! We need one adult volunteer for every 6 campers. Help us recruit volunteers if you are unable to help, please ask family members and friends over 18. Grandparents and other relatives have had a great time at camp! Girl Scout day camp requires a lot of volunteers for the girls to have a great week at camp! Please come join us for a day or two or even the week at camp! Program activities at camp are led by older Girl Scouts, Volunteers help campers by encouraging them to try activities, making sure camper units are on time to activities and assist with other general camp activities. Everything is pre-planned giving you the chance to enjoy the magic of Girl Scouts.
YLGS Day Camp places campers with adult volunteers first. If we are unable to place your camper, you will be notified by June 7 and camp fees will fully be refunded.
Volunteers must become registered members of Girl Scouts. Who can volunteer parents, siblings over 18, grandparents, college students, aunts, and anyone else over 18 that meets the registration and mandate requirement .
All volunteers attending Service Unit Day camps must complete a fingerprint-based background check and an online Mandated Reporter Training.
If you have not completed this process, email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org and put Mandated Reporter Training and/or Fingerprinting in the subject line.
The only exception to this is if you're volunteering for only 1 day.
