This adult learning is required for new Troop Leaders.
**If you have completed Girl Scout Essentials For New Leaders on
gsLearn you have fulfilled the requirement. If you want to attend to

During this adult learning we will discuss how to get started as a
Girl Scout Troop Leader. Topics will include:
- Troop Leader training path and how to login to our online
training platform, gsLearn
- Volunteer Resources and the
Volunteer Toolkit (VTK)
- Keeping girls safe - Safety
Activity Checkpoints, Permission Slips and Health History Forms and
volunteer-to-girl ratios
- The Girl Scout Leadership
Experience
- The Girl Scout Program (this will be discussed
more in-depth at your Level Essentials training)
- Guiding
your troop experience including meeting logistics, troop
communication and parent meetings/getting adults to help
- Your first troop meeting
- Funding the fun, finances,
product programs (Fall Product and Cookies) and how to open a Girl
Scout bank account
- Organizational structure and Service
Units, what they are and how to connect with local volunteers
- Girl Scout Resources
- We will run the required Mandated
Reporter Training.
