Step through the looking glass and join us for an unforgettable
journey through Wonderland! At this magical Girl Scout day camp,
Daisies through Juniors will explore a new part of Wonderland each
day-guided by our Girls with Extra Maturity (GEM) leadership team (7th
grade Cadettes - Ambassadors) and inspired by the classic tale Alice
in Wonderland.
Campers will enjoy themed crafts, silly
outdoor games, Alice inspired stories, and fun group activities that
spark creativity, courage, and connection. From tea party etiquette
and Mad Hatter mayhem to scavenger hunts and obstacle courses, every
day brings a new adventure plus Girl Scout songs, badges, and lasting
memories.
Whether you're painting the roses red,
following the White Rabbit, or giggling with the Cheshire Cat, this
whimsical week is full of curiosity, friendship, and fun.
Badge work will be incorporated into daily activities, with at least
one full badge earned per level (Daisy, Brownie, and Junior). Campers
should bring a sack lunch each day. Snacks will be provided.
Parking & Drop Off Information: Day camp will be
held at La Bonita Park in La Habra. We recommend parking in the north
parking accessible from Whittier Blvd, which provides the most direct
access to our camp area. Please Note: All campers must be signed in
and out each day by a parent or guardian. A photo ID is required at
pick-up each day for camper sign-out-no exceptions. Campers will not
be released to walk out to vehicles or the parking lot unattended. For
everyone's safety, we ask that you park and walk your camper to and
from the designated check-in area. Thank you for helping us keep camp
safe and organized!
Don't be late for this very important date!
Adult Volunteers: Adult volunteers are essential for the supervision and success of Day Camp. Full-time volunteers (attends all 5 days) will receive a $40 rebate on the last day of camp. Volunteer training is required for all adults and will take place prior to camp.
In order to meet the GSUSA required Girl Safety Ratios (minimum number of volunteers needed to supervise a specific number of girls), priority will be given to troops that provide at least two full-time volunteers for every six girls. The safety ratios are outlined in the Girl Scout Safety Activity Checkpoints and were designed to ensure the safety and health of girls. Girls/Troops registered without the required adult volunteers will not be placed in a unit until safety ratios are met. The Day Camp cannot guarantee placement for early and regular registrations unaccompanied by adults.
All volunteers attending Service Unit Day camps must complete a fingerprint-based background check and an online Mandated Reporter Training.
If you have not completed this process, email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org and put Mandated Reporter Training and/or Fingerprinting in the subject line.
The only exception to this is if you're volunteering for only 1 day.
Accepting Girl Scout Youth Staff (Girls entering 7th-12th grade): Girls with Extra Maturity (or GEMS) lead the younger girls in activities, games and songs and assist the adult volunteers in each unit. There will be a GEM (youth staff) training a week or two before the start of day camp. In addition, GSOC is offering an Older Girl Scout Leadership Training to earn Program-Aid (PA) or Volunteer-in-Training (VIT) award on June 14th 9 am - 8 pm. The PA or VIT award is helpful, but not required.
One t-shirt is included with every registration for Girl Scout campers, youth staff, pixies/boys and 2-5 day adult volunteers. Single day volunteers will pay $10 t-shirt fee. Additional camp shirts will be available for purchase for $10 each.
