Flyer!

May is National Skin Cancer Awareness Month and National Drowning Prevention Month, making it the perfect time to focus on Summer Safety! This month, Girl Scout Ambassadors Daniella (Troop 3118) and Annaleah (Troop 3372), who are both working toward their Gold Awards, will lead an impactful session to help keep their Girl Scout sisters safe during the summer months.

  • Daniella, a 12th Grade Ambassador, is partnering with John Wayne Cancer Foundation and SknVu to educate participants on sun safety, the importance of sun protection, and ways to prevent skin cancer.

  • Annaleah, an 11th Grade Ambassador, is collaborating with NDPA (National Drowning Prevention Association), the Jasper Ray Foundation, and the HB Fire Outreach Foundation to teach essential water safety skills to help prevent drowning, which is the leading cause of death in small children.

Together, these dedicated Girl Scouts will share critical safety tips so you and those around you can stay safe all summer long!
