Backpacks for Success! Join us to help students who need school supplies start the school year prepared and confident. Through Backpacks for Success, Girl Scouts will write uplifting messages for students and can help assemble backpacks filled with essential school supplies for students across Orange County-and we need you to make it happen! 

Let's come together to empower students for success! 

 

Thursday, June 26, 4:30pm-5:30pm; Zoom event 

$5 each OC Girl Scout*; all ages 

  • GSOC Year of Service patch, with June tab 

  • A guest speaker from CAP OC will share insights on poverty in Orange County and how this campaign helps students thrive. 

  • Write Encouraging Notes - Girl Scouts will craft heartfelt messages to be included in each backpack. 

  • Volunteer Packing Days - Stay tuned for dates and locations where you can help assemble backpacks for distribution. 

  • Impactful resources Community Action Partnership Orange County  

* $10 each for Girl Scouts registered in councils outside of Orange County.

Can't make the live event? Register anyway! You will receive the recording to watch when convenient, and all supplies and a patch! Good for individual Girl Scouts, or as instant program for an upcoming troop meeting! Registration remains open one month after the live event.

*This event is open to troops, Juliettes, and those with an active membership awaiting placement in a troop!

GSOC follows current CDC COVID-19 guidelines. Event participants will be notified if additional action is required. 

This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girl Scouts must complete online registration and pay deposit (if applicable) or in full. Then fill out the Reimbursement form prior to participating in the event.   .
