Dreams To Reality is leadership building event for girls in grades 8-12 to gain insight & inspiration learning about careers, as well as hands-on life skills games, professional development, and alumni conversations about college life. 

 

Some of the activities featured at the event are: 

  • Keynote Speaker to inspire leadership and motivate your future decisions! 

  • Career Worlds - Girls will hear from variety of career women who will share their learning path, what motivated their career choice and a "day in the life" glimpse into a typical day of that career.  

  • Networking Tools: Girls will develop a working resume, elevator speech and video interviews and other networking tools, social presence.  

  • Reality Town: Adulting 101 - Girls will participate in a "game of life" reality check as they learn hands on what it might be like to manage finances, develop budgets and overcome challenges based on life choices they may face as an adult. 

  • Campus Chats - Enjoy sharing informal lunchtime chat with Girl Scout alum, now college students, about life in college and how to prepare mentally and scholastically.  

Date/Time: June 1, 2024; 10:00 am 3:00pm 

Location: Chapman University, 1 University Drive, Orange; Argyros Building 

 

Cost: $10 per OC Girl Scout*; grades 8-12, ($20 per girl registered outside of OC), $12 optional lunch add-on available 

 

Drop off: Girls may be dropped off to attend the event individually or with their troop. Adult supervision is included in the event. A permission slip will be sent upon registration. 

Adults: welcome to register for free and may be asked to help while at the event. 

 

Includes: badge, event patch, snack, materials, and activities designed to make your dreams a reality! 

 

A confirmation email with all event details will be sent to those registered closer to the event date. For questions, please email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org 

GSOC follows current CDC COVID-19 guidelines. Event participants will be notified if additional action is required. 

This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girls must complete online registration and pay in full.  Next fill out the Reimbursement form prior to participating in the event.

Registration is non-transferrable.
