STEM comes to life at Knott's Berry Farm! The Energy in Motion tour breaks down the creative and mechanical engineering behind Knott's Berry Farm's various rides and attractions. Girl Scouts will gain a greater understanding of the science behind roller coasters and will have the chance to discuss subjects such as centrifugal force, mass, inertia, and more while they experience how each concept relates to the rides.
Program Meet Time: 9:00 AM
Program End Time: 12:00 PM
Chaperones:
Girl Scouts can stay in the park after the program concludes but they need an adult chaperone. Chaperones will be provided for the program from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Tag-a-longs are not allowed for the Physics tour). At noon, girls must be picked up inside the park by an adult. This can be a parent/guardian or a troop leader. The name and contact information of the pick-up person will be collected before the event.
Adults are required to have a park ticket. Adults are not required to purchase a park ticket through GSOC. They can use an annual pass if permitted. Adults will be picking up girls inside the park at the end of the program. Families/groups/troops can hang out together once the program concludes at 12:00 PM.
Tickets:
Additional tickets for adults/siblings/friends can be purchased using this form (at the same price!). Buying a guest ticket does not permit attendance of the Physics tour.
Ticket Costs:
There are no discounts for being an annual passholder. If a Girl Scout wants to participate in the Physics program, they must purchase a participant ticket.
Height Requirements:
There are height requirements for this event because during the tour, Girl Scouts will get to experience Physics "experiments" (aka. rides). You must confirm you understand that there are rides with height requirements in this class. Riding attractions is not required. If your student does not make the height requirement, let GSOC know ASAP. No exceptions will be made regarding height requirements.
