OC Register: New Girl Scouts STEM headquarters in Newport Beach: A lot more than S’mores

Sure, there’s a kitchen, and a 2,000-square-foot patio for crafting S’mores. But the new Argyros Girl Scout Leadership Center in Newport Beach, unveiled Saturday Sept. 23, is headquarters for the organization’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics program, or STEM, for 21,000 Orange County Girl Scouts.
