Skin Cancer, the most common form of cancer, is the most curable and preventable, and 90% of skin cancer is caused by overexposure to UV rays? Block The Blaze is a John Wayne Cancer Foundation (JWCF) funded youth skin cancer education and awareness program. Block the Blaze encourages to be outdoors, active, and healthy while focusing on sun safety, including skin cancer prevention and early detection.
Thursday, April 25, 4pm-5pm; zoom event
$5 each OC Girl Scout*; all ages
* GSOC Year of Service patch, with April tab
* Informative guest speaker to learn about sun safety!
* Take Action to advocate for skin cancer prevention!
* Impactful service through Block The Blaze

Registration is open for one month after the live event. Registrations received after the live event will receive a recording, and all information to complete the service project. Please note that a recording is subject to technical availability.
All patches will be mailed to the Girl Scout registered for the event

GSOC follows current CDC COVID-19 guidelines. Event participants will be notified if additional action is required.
This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girls must complete online registration and pay in full. Next fill out the Reimbursement form prior to participating in the event.
