Imagine attending the Girl Scout National Convention with thousands of Girl Scouts from across the country, celebrating sisterhood, visiting historic monuments, and experiencing the excitement of our nation's capital during the nation's 250th semi-quincentennial birthday!  

The Girl Scout National Convention Travel Patrol is the ultimate level 5 travel progression experience for Girl Scouts in 8-12 grade. With guidance from Global Action Team volunteers, girls will participate in hands-on, girl-led planning to attend GS National Convention in Washington, DC! 

 

Join us! July 20-25, 2026

Travel Patrol includes pre-trip planning meetings where travelers get to know each other, build travel skills, budget, and help customize their trip experiences. This event is organized by the volunteers of the GSOC Global Action Team to support travel progression and girl-driven planning, in partnership with Girl Scouts of Orange County.

**This is a drop-off event. This is afully chaperoned travel experienceled by trainedGSOC Global Action Team volunteers.Parents/guardians do not attendunless they serveas an approved volunteer chaperone.Girl Scouts may register for the Travel Patrols without their troop leaders. They are mentored and chaperoned by Global Action Team volunteers. 

Troop Adults who register 5 or more girls can apply to chaperone Travel Patrols 

 

*This event is open to troops, Juliettes, and those with an active membership awaiting placement in a troop!

This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girl Scouts must complete online registration and pay deposit (if applicable) or in full. Then fill out the Reimbursement form prior to participating in the event.   

GSOC Event Scholarship may be available upon request for GSOC Girl Scout. To request a GSOC Event Scholarship please complete the GSOC Council Event Scholarship Form.
