GS Advocates is a vibrant and inclusive alliance for teenage Girl Scouts passionate about: 

  • Advocacy and community engagement 

  • Tackling critical community issues 

  • Developing media literacy 

  • Building resilience 

  • Celebrating diversity and inclusion 

Our mission is to empower young women to make a real difference while ensuring every member feels valued and heard. 

What You'll Gain 

Through GS Advocates, participants can: 

  • Earn a Youth Certification in leadership, advocacy, and other essential skills. 

  • Build advocacy skills over time through hands-on experiences. 

  • Enjoy quarterly field trips to deepen understanding of issues and connect with peers. 

  • Access resources and recordings in our Learning Library.

Program Format 

 

Monthly Zoom Meetings: 

  • First Monday of each month, 5:30 PM-6:30 PM. 

  • Includes a guest speaker and next steps for advocacy work. Quarterly In-Person Outings. 

Quarterly In-Person Outings:

  • Fun, engaging, and community-focused. 

  • One-Time Registration covers the entire series (both virtual and in-person components). 

Important Registration Notes: 

  • If you register after 3:00 PM on the day of the event, you will receive a link for next month's meeting. 

  • If you register mid-year, you will receive access to the Learning Library with all past session recordings and resources.

**This is a drop-off event. Adults have the option to participate (please see registration for pricing) or supervise for free. No tagalongs, please. 

Girl Scouts must be over the age of 13 and take the Internet Safety Pledge before going online without an adult. 

 

*This event is open to troops, Juliettes, and those with an active membership awaiting placement in a troop!

This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girl Scouts must complete online registration and pay deposit (if applicable) or in full. Then fill out the Reimbursement form prior to participating in the event.
