Women & Wheels Car Care Badge Series, Workshop & Community Service
Girl Scouts will earn a Car Care badge while volunteering for the female-owned classic cars exhibit at the Crusin' for a Cure car show! Learn safe driving tips, practice hands-on car care, and meet inspirational women who are impacting the automobile industry!
$10 per girl for entire series; OC Girl Scouts in 8th-12th grade (includes Senior badge)
($15 per girl for out-of-council Girl Scouts or non-members)
Includes: badge, speakers, event admission, goodie bag, service hours & FUN!
Session 1: Intro to Cruisin' for a Cure - Zoom online, Sep. 5, 5pm-6pm, review event, learn Safe Driving Practices with M.A.D.D. and Officer Bao, Costa Mesa Police Dept.
Session 2: Career Exploration - Zoom online, Sep. 12, 5pm-6pm, female entrepreneurs in the auto industry: Monique Marconi, family owner of Marconi Auto Museum and more!
Session 3: Car Maintenance at Marconi Automotive Museum, Sept. 19, 5pm-6pm, Badge steps, Hands-on Car Maintenance; meet the classic cars and prepare for event day!
Session 4: Cruisin' for a Cure EVENT DAY at OC Fair & Event Ctr - Sept. 28, 9:30am-4pm
REGISTER BY September 4 for the full series! Late registrations only accepted until September 18, and will receive recordings of virtual sessions to view on own.

This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girls must complete online registration and pay in full. Next fill out the Reimbursement form prior to participating in the event.
Registration is non-transferrable.
