Welcome to the 2021 Fall Product Program

The Fall Product Program is a fun, easy, and rewarding experience to help Girl Scout troops earn money while building their business savvy and financial literacy skills.

Girls of all ages build self-confidence and develop valuable business skills- such as goal setting, money management, and business ethics- while earning badges, patches, and prizes along the way. Many troops use Product Sales Program funds to support activities, Take Action projects, and field trips.

Service Unit Product Managers

Welcome to our Fall Product Program and THANK YOU for volunteering!  

Find answers quickly in your Service Unit Plan Book! An electronic copy is on gscookiesetc.org/fallproduct/forms.

Now (Service Unit Plan Book page 5):

  • Remind Troop Product Coordinators to complete Troop Product Coordinator online training located on the gsLearn dashboard in their MyGS account
  • Appoint Troop Product Coordinators by confirming membership registration, background screening, and training has been completed and Troop Banking form is completed.  Send “Welcome” email using the template found on gscookiesetc.org/fallproduct/forms to the Troop Product Coordinator.  (No more than 2 per Troop)
  • Enter Troop Product Coordinators into M2OS.
  • New!  Enter your Service Unit Distributor and Rewards Coordinators into M2OS (optional)
    • Let your coordinators know you added them to the system and they should receive a registration email from M2OS
    • Remind your SU Distributor Coordinator to update the delivery station for the Service Unit by September 29, 2021
    • Have your Rewards Coordinator update the rewards delivery address in M2OS

September 25 (Service Unit Plan Book page 6):

Remind Troop Product Coordinators:

  • To complete the steps to be appointed.
  • To send the parent email blast on September 25th through M2OS.
  • Of the deadline for entering their troop’s order:  October 17, 2021 by 9:00 pm.
  • The only way to GUARANTEE products is for troops to place a troop order by the October 17th deadline.

Service Unit Nut Distributor

Welcome to the 2021 Fall Product program!

Now:

  • Complete SU Nut Distribution Day Request Form (1st come, 1st served for Saturday delivery requests) to let us know the location, date and time preferred for your Service Unit delivery. If you don’t yet have a location, please fill in your preferred date and time
  • Receive email with registration information for the M2 Operating System
  • Enter the Service Unit Delivery information in the M2 Operating System by September 29.  A training video on how to enter this information can be found on gscookiesetc.org/fallproduct/forms under the Service Unit Training Video section at the bottom of the page
  • Review the Service Unit Plan Book page 8 for Delivery & Distribution information

Things to do this week:

Has your service unit held or scheduled a Nutty Newbie, Fall Rally or added a Fall Product component to a retention event for girls and/or adults?  It is not too late!  See the Nutty Newbie Session Information to help you plan.

Troop Trainings 

  • Remind Troop Product Coordinators to have their training packet consisting of the Troop Plan Book, Family Guide, and Parent Responsibility form they received in the mail.  If Troop did not receive a training packet in the mail, please have them contact us by emailing customercare@girlscoutsoc.org with “Fall Product – Troop Packet” in the subject line and one will be sent to them.

  • Complete SU Fall Product Nut Distributor training by September 14 to fulfill a Service Unit Earned Cash Bonus requirement. You can find the training on our calendar, or if you selected your role on MyGS it will be assigned to you. 
  • Complete SU Nut Distribution Day Request Form (1st come, 1st served for Saturday delivery requests) to let us know the location, date and time preferred for your Service Unit delivery. If you don’t yet have a location, please fill in your preferred date and time.

Service Unit Nut Distributor

Welcome to the 2021 Fall Product program! Here are this week’s helpful hints.

August - September :

  • Complete SU Fall Product Nut Distributor training.  Please note:  There is a link to a Nut distributor video in the Service Unit Nut Distributor training. 
  • Complete SU Nut Distribution Day Request Form (1st come, 1st served for Saturday delivery requests).  You will receive an email once this training is available for you to take. 
Service Unit Materials Coordinator

Welcome to the 2021 Fall Product program! Here are this week’s helpful hints.

By September 2:

  • Select your role in MyGS by October 1  (Service Unit Earned Cash Bonus requirement).  If role is not found email  customercare@girlscoutsoc.org for assistance by October 1 and Service Unit will still complete this Service Unit Earned Cash Bonus requirement! 
  • Complete SU Materials Coordinator training by September 2, 2021 (Service Unit Earned Cash Bonus  requirement). You should have received an email for this training. 
    • Receive extra materials from Trophy Nut and M2 Media 
      • Large white envelopes  
      • Receipt books – 2-3 booklets per troop 
    • Troop Plan Books – for any new troops or troops who did not receive their training packet in the mail. 
  • Please note: There was confusion at the printers and the 3 items ( Order cards, family guides, M2 Media Flyers, and money envelopes) were all shipped to council instead of to the service units. If you would like to have extras on hand please email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org with "Fall Material" in the subject line. Please let us know what materials you would like and how many. We will gather them together and leave them at will call for pick-up.

Week of September 5:

Troops will receive training materials (Troop Plan Books, Family Guide, and Parent Responsibility Form) in the mail the week of September 5. Troops who did not receive a training packet in the mail will need to pick up one from their Service Unit Material Coordinator or can contact customercare@girlscoutsoc.org and one will be sent to them.

SU Product Manager Quick Checklist

August - September:

  • Meet the Products
  • Notify Troop Product Coordinators of training and create a TPC Roster..
  • Review Service Unit Earned Cash Bonus with your Service Unit Team and make plans to earn $$$.
  • Recruit Service Unit Fall Product Team members.
  • All Service Unit Fall Product Team positions filled and role selected in MyGS by October 1 (Service Unit Earned Cash Bonus requirement).  If role is not found, email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org for assistance by October 1 and Service Unit will still complete this Service Unit Earned Cash Bonus requirement!
  • Complete Service Unit Product Manager Part 1 online training. You should have already received an email from gsLearn about this training being ready for your review.  Remember, you will need to log into your MyGS account to access gsLearn for online trainings.
  • Register for SU Product Manager Part 2 Workshop.
  • Remind SU Product Team members (SU Materials & SU Nut Distributor) to complete their online training.  They will receive an email from gsLearn when their training is ready for them to review. Remember, they will need to log into their MyGS account to access gsLearn for online trainings.

Troops will receive training materials ( Troop Plan Books, Family Guide, and order card) in the mail the week of September 5. Troops who did not receive a training packet in the mail will need to pick up one from their Service Unit Material Coordinator or can contact customercare@girlscoutsoc.org and one will be sent to them.
