Troop Proceeds and Bonus

We have great news to share about our 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Program!

This year, Girl Scout Troops across Orange County will earn guaranteed proceeds of 69¢ per package of cookies they sell-- an increase of 4¢ per package over last year!  And as many of you know, troops may earn more based on the Council’s overall cookie sale results. 

Here’s how it works…

When the Council’s overall cookie sales reach 2,562,500 packages, individual troop proceeds will jump to 72¢ per package of cookies sold and to 73¢ per package when the Council’s overall cookie sales reach 2,625,000 packages. 

For the past three cookie seasons, the Council and troops have shared annual increases in the cost of cookies.  This year, however, instead of dropping the guaranteed troop proceeds to 65¢ per package as originally planned to cover this year’s increase, the Council is so confident of our troops’ performance that we have increased the guaranteed troop proceeds to 69¢ per package and when troops reach the same total of cookies they sold last year, they will achieve the same proceeds of 73¢ per package.
