GSOC High Adventure Group Planning Meeting It’s time to make your voice heard! High Adventures Girl Scouts is having a meeting for girls (grades 5-11) who are ready to let us know what they want to do next year in High Adventures. Have an urge to go kayaking? Always wished you could scuba dive? Really want to build your own shelter in the woods and camp? Bring all of your ideas Nov 16 (Sunday) at the Anaheim Program Center, 3-5 pm. No RSVP needed. A santa hat, festive train ride caroling to holiday music. The train ride stops mid-way for a special visit with Santa! There a complimentary candy cane, a cup of hot cocoa and a deli sized cookie will be waiting for you. Designed for individuals, our three-step wilderness progression safely takes girls and adults out of the campground and into the woods! Wilderness Hiking covers outdoor skills and knowledge, and is a prerequisite for Basic Backpacking Course and Advanced Backpacking Trips. Spend your morning in the classroom and your afternoon on the trail, learning about safety, proper gear and equipment, the Leave No Trace ethic, building independence in girls.
