Cadettes look for the ME in media and learn how they can shape media—for themselves, their community and the world. Stories are told everywhere and in all kinds of formats – in movies by big Hollywood studios, online by bloggers and through social networks, through the clothes chosen by stylists for a fashion spread in a magazine, through the photos chosen by a newspaper editor. MEdia helps girls think about who is responsible for telling all the stories they see around them and how can use their story to help "re-make" the forms of media they see around them....

White Water Rafting Trip with Cavern Tour We are offering this trip to all adventurous Girl Scout Cadettes and older this year as last year’s trip was a huge success. Girls must be currently registered Girl Scouts at the time of the trip and have completed 5th grade or be a Cadette, Senior or Ambassador. Dates are July 17-20th. We will depart OC approximately 8am on Thursday the 17th. Please eat breakfast before departure and pack a sack lunch for the drive. This is a 6-7 hour drive. We anticipate return July 20 at about 11 pm. NOTE: WE NEED A MINIMUM OF 8 GIRLS FOR THIS TRIP....

Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, and Volunteers welcome walk-in, no RSVP required   4:30pm-5:30pm: We will be reviewing the annual calendar with estimated dates for events so GSOC staff can anticipate the approvals we will need. Program Aide Training is for Cadettes. Cadette Program Aide is a Mentoring Award that requires that girls go beyond volunteering to help and are taking on a leadership role in planning and implementing activities for younger girls.
