Learn and practice all of the skills you will need to ROCK Cadette-o-Rama! For first-timers and for brushing up on skills you already know. There will be four sessions each with three classes and each skill will be taught twice so that every girl has an opportunity to learn her favorite skills. Skills offered: Knots, Lashing, Compass, Fire Building, Knife Safety, Whipping and Hanking, Practical Skills, Map Reading, First Aid/Emergency Prep and Campsite Setup. High Adventure Girl Scouts is heading north to the American River for an awesome white water rafting trip. We will be rafting with EarthTrek Expedition (http://www.earthtrekexpeditions.com), a very reputable organization with a great safety record and some of the best guides on the river. This is a level 3 rapids trip, which is approved for Girl Scout Cadettes and older. The lower fork has water flow controlled by the dams so water level is not a problem even with low rainfall.
