While at the Heritage Museum girls will get to visit the historic Kellogg House, churn butter, try their hand at laundry the old way, make a quilter's square, go on a nature walk while learning about the Gold Rush, Play Indian games and so much more! Appreciating literature and writing is a component of this workshop, as is exploring the techniques that will help make you a better writer – a valuable tool for every day life at all ages (as well as in school!)  Participants will learn about the different genres of writing, go into depth in the study of poetry, have an opportunity to practice their own writing skills and receive feedback from the instructor.
