Program Aide Training
Program Aide Training is for Cadettes. Cadette Program Aide is a Mentoring Award that requires that girls go beyond volunteering to help and are taking on a leadership role in planning and implementing activities for younger girls. Cadette Program Aide Training helps girls to complete one of the three steps to earning this Mentoring Award. Complete steps for earning the Cadette Program Aide Award are found on page 30 in The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting for Cadettes. Step 3 of the Cadette Program Aide Award requires girls to work directly with younger girls over six activity sessions (for example assisting Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, or Juniors with Journey activities or badge activities as part of a troop, series, event, or camp pathway experience).
Me As a Leader: Pre training activity - Girls are invited to create and bring a “Me as a Leader” collage, poem, drawing, painting, story, journal, or other visual aid to illustrate and describe themselves as a leader in their life and in the world. Girls should bring their project with them to the training. There will be an opportunity to share their visual representation of themselves as part of the training.
