Birds & Bees Connection: Rites of Passage
"Rites of Passage" is a four-week interactive course that prepares tweens/teens for adolescence by generating an open dialogue in a fun and engaging environment and helps them to understand that they’re not alone on the journey to growing up. This course gives parents the foundation and necessary tools to communicate their personal values and beliefs. It also creates a close bond between mother and daughter that will last into the future.

How Rites of Passage Incorporates the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
Through this course girls will feel empowered to make a difference in the world, resolve conflicts and participate in healthy relationships. They will have put their critical thinking skills to work to become more resourceful problem solvers. In addition they will be discussing practical life skills in healthy living, positive values which will all lead to an increased strong sense of self.
