The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that can be earned by a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador in 9-12th grade. Girl Guidelines for earning the Gold Award are found in the Handbook section of The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Seniors and The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Ambassadors, which are available for purchase through the GSOC Shop.

Participants will understand what it means to Take Action and how to use the Guidelines for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors and the Adult Volunteer Guide resources support girls' efforts to make the world a better place.

This 3-hour workshop is REQUIRED for adults who will serve as the project advisor for girls working on the Girl Scout Gold Award. The workshop is designed for adults working with girls who have completed or have nearly completed 2 Senior/Ambassador Journeys (GIRLtopia, Sow What?, or Mission: Sisterhood for Seniors and/or Your World/Your Voice, Justice or Bliss: Live It Give It! For Ambassadors OR have completed 1 Journey and have earned the Girl Scout Silver Award as a Cadette) and are ready to focus on the Gold Award Take Action project. Participants will understand what it means to Take Action and how to use the Guidelines for Girl Scout Cadettes and the Adult Volunteer Guide resources to support girls' efforts to make the world a better place.

New Guidelines for Girl Scouts Highest Awards

New guidelines for the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards were introduced in Fall 2009. The old Go For It! requirements have been replaced with the new guidelines, featuring the Girl Scout leadership journeys. As of October 1, 2011, all girls use the new guidelines.
