Long-Time Girl Scout Volunteers to Be Recognized at OneOC’s Spirit of Volunteerism Awards

Sloane Petrillo and Siobhan Hickey

Girl Scouts of Orange County would like to congratulate Sloane Petrillo and Siobhan Hickey on receiving the Spirit of Volunteerism Award from OneOC. These incredible Girl Scout volunteers will be honored at OneOC’s annual award luncheon on April 24th at the Disneyland Hotel.

Sloane has provided over a decade of service to Girl Scouts of Orange County, volunteering for numerous positions including troop leader, Gold Award Committee member, Adult Recognitions Committee chair and Day Camp director. Sloan took the lead like a Girl Scout to start the popular Irvine Day Camp several years ago, which provides innovative girl-led opportunities for the girls to plan and execute day camp. Thank you Sloane for your dedication and support of Girl Scouts.

Siobhan is an advocate for girl-led travel opportunities for all Girl Scouts of Orange County girls. She was the lead chaperone for the 2017 Presidential Inauguration trip where 19 girls and 8 chaperones visited Washington D.C. to experience the Inaugural festivities. Siobhan is also a member of the Global Action Group and mentors and trains for travelling with Girl Scouts. Thank you Siobhan for your commitment and devotion to Girl Scouts!

Congratulations Sloan and Siobhan on this extraordinary and well-deserved recognition!
