"Ted is an extraordinary volunteer and leader. He spends all
his free time volunteering and imparting his knowledge for others'
benefit. He trains across geographic areas teaching multiple classes
including: knots, lashing, compass, outdoor cooking, tent camping,
first aid, swaps and so much more! No matter how busy his schedule is,
he doesn't hesitate to help out any troop that asks. He is kind and
giving of his time. He also takes troops on hiking and backpacking
trips and doesn't require payment other than fees to pay for patches.
Adults and Girl Scouts all benefit from his talent and knowledge. He
provides excellent customer service with a smile. He makes every
learning experience fun and interesting. We are so thankful to have
him teach our girls outdoor skills and take our girls on hikes. We are
work on our 3rd hike with Ted. He takes our troops to hikes in OC and
LA county and he makes every excursion exciting. He also had
volunteered his time teaching our girls knots, lashing, first aid and
making survival bracelets and swaps.
Ted goes above and beyond my making himself available several times
a month to teach all of the classes listed above and so much more. He
devotes time after work to volunteer and serve Orange County and Los
Angeles troops. On top of a full time job, he also manages multi-level
troop so there is never a time that he's not volunteering. He actively
participates in everything he volunteers for and is always present. He
is engaged and engaging. He actively volunteers at the Japanese
cultural events and is always finding ways to include others and share
his knowledge and expertise. All his time outside of work is dedicated
to Girl Scout activities. He attends camp, leads camps and us often
helping troop at camps. He always makes you feel special and tended
to. He bends over backwards and is so flexible work differ be troops'
dynamics, challenges and schedules. And he has branded himself as the
volunteer who makes unique swaps using recycle products. He always
serves with a smile and gives so much more than what he gets on return
but he is always happy and content. We are so fortunate to have him."
