Jump on board with STEM Whale Watching, which offers a free choice environment with opportunities to get involved in Citizen Science data collection and research. With guidance from an on-board marine biologist, along with informational panels throughout the research vessel, girls use their expedition notebook and field guides to identify marine mammals and birds, take an up-close look at plankton, artifacts and hear live underwater sounds with a hydrophone and learn about the intricate roles of sea lions. As you and your fellow scientist participate in these studies, you are bound to also enjoy the wide variety of ocean life as Bottlenose Dolphins race alongside the boat and even possibly a Blue or Humpback Whale sighting!
