Girl Scouts provides experiences for girls who will become tomorrow's business, civic and volunteer leaders.
With you help, Girl Scouts of Orange county is providing a safe environment for nearly 23,000 girls to develop their talents and leadership skills and grow up to be strong, healthy and happy women. And we know that Girl Scouts Work – a recent study showed that women who were Girl Scouts when they were young have higher perceptions of self, higher rates of volunteerism and civic engagement, higher rates of college education and higher household incomes that non- alumnae.
Parents and volunteers guide and support girls and play a critical role in their lives as role models and partners in Girl Scouts serving as troop leaders, mentors and advisors.
Even with parents' and volunteers' time and commitment helping to keep the cost of Girl Scouting low, it costs Girl Scouts of Orange County $400 per girl to provide Orange County's BEST leadership development program. With your help, we can support more of our community's girls.

Going to school every day used to be a nightmare for 12 year old Kendall, who was a victim of bullying. Kendall began to volunteer as an assistant to younger Girl Scouts, at first to escape the bullies. But as she connected with the younger girls, she started to enjoy the interaction and found that the kids looked up to her. As Kendall helped them understand their importance, she began to realize her own value. Kendall developed the confidence to audition for her school play; she tried out and made Honors Band and even performed in her school’s talent show. Kendall is no longer afraid of being bullied. Through Girl Scouts, she learned that change starts with her.
