Offering a wide range of quality and convenient adult learning opportunities is essential to helping our volunteers gain the skills and knowledge important to delivering a life-changing Girl Scout leadership experiences. Volunteers will develop new skills and insights and many find these opportunities enhance their personal and professional lives.
In Person: Search our volunteer calendar for scheduled in-person adult learning courses. Our curriculum is focused on training troop facilitators and those interested in outdoor adventures so that volunteers progress with highly applicable skills. Whether you are looking to lead your troop with more ease and variety, or to sharpen your outdoor expertise, we offer a wide range of valuable and enjoyable learning opportunities!
Online: In addition to the in person courses, we offer some printable and online courses which you can take 24/7. Enjoy the flexibility and convenience of taking some adult learning course online. It’s a resource-saving, comfortable way to get started. We also offer many course prerequisites online to prepare you to better benefit from certain in person courses and networking sessions. You can find online courses by clicking the Learning Management System trefoil icon on the left of the volunteer screens. You will be asked to create your own username and password. By doing this, you will be giving us the ability to instantly record the classes that you’ve taken on your progression as a volunteer!

Training video covers Girl Scout history, philosophy, mission and volunteerism in about 35 minutes. All new volunteers are required to view this training as part of the orientation process. Password: aboutGS101.
